Hotels Announced for for Doris Day Estate Auction

We hope you will join the Doris Day Animal Foundation for our very special celebration of Doris’ life and career, featuring her estate auction. All proceeds benefit DDAF.

To help with your travel planning, DDAF has negotiated discounted group rates with three Beverly Hills hotels, the Beverly Hilton, the Mosaic, and the Maison 140. All are conveniently located within blocks of each other and easy walking distance to Julien’s Auction Gallery, downtown Beverly Hills shopping and dining, and the beautiful Westfield Century City Shopping Center.  Hollywood, Santa Monica, the beach, and studios such as Universal, Warner Brothers, Fox and Paramount, are a 15-30 minute drive, depending on location and traffic.

The iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel, once owned by Merv Griffin, is the home of the Golden Globe Awards. It is also where Doris made her last public appearance, when she received the Cecil B. DeMille Award. The Beverly Hilton offers a pool, fitness room, restaurant, lounge, gift shop, beauty salon, car rental and sightseeing tour desk.

For those wishing to have a more intimate hotel experience, akin to Doris’ Cypress Inn in Carmel, the Mosaic Hotel and Maison 140 Hotel are sister boutique hotel properties, across the alley from each other and a short walk from the Beverly Hilton. The Mosaic features a lovely, comfortable, modern, California vibe, along with a restaurant and pool.  If you prefer a bit of history, the Maison 140 is a 1930s mansion, once owned by silent film stars Dorothy and Lillian Gish. The Maison 140 has a vintage Parisian flair and features Bar Noir, a cozy speakeasy-type bar off the lobby, sometimes frequented by A-list celebrities going incognito.  Guests of the Maison 140 have access to the Mosaic’s restaurant and pool privileges.
