Good Day, Sunshine! Doris Speaks with Sir Paul

London - On the eve of Doris Day's first musical release in nearly two decades, the London Daily Telegraph has published the legendary songstress' interview with a legendary singer-songwriter: Sir Paul McCartney.

The full interview can be read on the Telegraph's website.

McCartney and Day struck up a friendship about 10 years ago when McCartney visited her Carmel Valley, Calif., home to talk about her animal rescue efforts through the Doris Day Animal Foundation.  They continue to speak occasionally over the phone, and Sir Paul graciously expressed interest in Day's forthcoming CD release, "My Heart."

"He's a very sweet man," Ms. Day said of McCartney.  "He's like me, very down to earth even though he's had so much success. We both have so much to be grateful for."

While the CD will be released Sept. 2 in Austria and Germany, and Sept. 5 throughout the UK, "My Heart" can be pre-ordered by fans worldwide on Amazon.co.uk.
