Doris Day Speaks with London's BBC Radio 2
London - Ramping up to the Sept. 5 launch of her new CD "My Heart," Doris Day granted an interview to musical theatre star and BBC Radio 2 host Michael Ball for his "Sunday Brunch" show. The interview, available in its entirity here, originally aired on Aug. 22.
Speaking from her home in Carmel Valley, Calif., Ms. Day and Mr. Ball covered songs from the new CD, Day's early singing and dance training, her transition to the movies, her leading men and her devotion to animal rights. Ball said he was a lifelong fan of Day's and never thought he'd actually get the chance to interview her.
The "My Heart" CD is set for release Sept. 5 in the UK, and Sept. 2 in Germany and Austria.
